02/08 – Valentine's Day 2010

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and we look forward to sharing this special day with you and your loved one. Since it falls on a Sunday this year, we are having a fantastic Cupid's Arrow weekend. Beginning on Saturday (2/13/10) we will have a prix fixe three course menu for $30 a person, or as we like to think of it $60 per duo of lovebirds. Our regular menu will be served a la carte this weekend as well.

01/31 – One Week Wasn't Enough

Due to inclement weather and the fact that we just can't get enough, Blue Light is extending restaurant week until Wednesday February 3, 2010. Call for reservations and to hear about our plans for Valentine's Day as well.

Why would we quit after seven days of good food and fun when we could go for ten instead?

01/14 – Graduation Weekend Reservations

We will begin taking Graduation Weekend Reservations on February 1, 2010.

When calling to make your reservation be aware that we will be taking deposits ($20 per person) at the time of the reservation request.

-deposits will be taken in the form of cash, credit card, or check-

Deposits are refundable until April 15, 2010. After this time deposits become nonrefundable.

We look forward to hearing from you and can't wait to make your Graduation Weekend experience one you will never forget.

01/04 – Looking forward in 2010

Happy New Year from the Blue Light Grill. We are thankful for so many things in 2010, a newly painted restaurant, new monitors along our wall of fire, a wonderful kitchen staff, and a floor staff full of people happy and ready to present outstanding customer service. We are also thrilled to be a part of Charlottesville's January Restaurant Week and can't wait to see what kind of buzz it brings to our new winter menu, which will be premiering around the same time.

Stay warm this winter, come and grab a cocktail, a hot meal and relax with us.

Chef Josh is a veteran of the Charlottesville restaurant scene and spent time in many C-ville kitchens, from Rococo's all the way to Metropolitan. After spending time sharpening his craft in Washington D.C. and San Diego, he's back and helping Blue Light regain its place as a killer, must have, downtown eatery.

01/21 – GRADUATION WEEKEND 2009

Blue Light Grill Congratulates the UVA class of 2009!!!

We will begin taking reservations for Friday, May 15, Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17 2009 beginning Sunday, February 1 at noon.

For the entire weekend we will be offering several special dishes in addition to our regular menu.

Reservations will be accepted via telephone or in person and a valid credit card is required at that time in order to hold your reservation.

We are not accepting online reservations for these days and are only accepting reservations for inside tables.

10/30 – Holiday Closings

Blue Light Grill will be closed Thanksgiving Day, November 27th, Christmas Eve, December 24th, and Christmas Day, December 25th in observance of the Holidays. We will also be closed on New Year's Day, January 1st. We wish all of you and yours a happy holiday season.

10/29 – 1ST ANNUAL HALLOWEEN BASH

01/22 – Prix Fixe Menu Is A Pre-Show Crowd Pleaser

If you are looking for a fine dining experience before attending a show at The Paramount Theater, the new prix fixe at Blue Light Grill is fast and fantastic. The Pre-Theatre Menu is offered from 5:30-7pm on nights of Paramount shows only. Three courses include a starter or salad, entrée and choice of dessert for $35.00. Patrons choose their selections from specially marked items on the regular menu.

10/23 – Blue Light Grill Participates In Dining Around the Area Fundraiser

Blue Light Grill is one of several fine restaurants featured in the annual Dining Around the Area promotional booklet produced as a fundraiser for Hospice of the Piedmont.

All proceeds from the sale of these booklets benefit Hospice of the Piedmont in providing compassionate care to terminally-ill individuals and their families in Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Augusta, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Madison, Nelson and Orange.
